Distance and difficulty: The walking distance will be 1.2 miles (Merrick Mile Trail). The trail includes some rocky, uneven surfaces.
What to bring: Bring your own sun protection & drinking water to carry with you. Please dress for the weather and wear shoes that are comfortable for hiking.
Where to Meet: In the Bar-O day use area, near the HQ building
Cost: Free with park admission. Park admission is $6 per visitor 13 years and up; free for visitors 12 years and younger; free to visitors with a Texas State Park Pass.
Note: In the event of inclement weather, the hike may be moved to the park roadways or cancelled.
