Join a guided Nature Walk at Lost Maples State Natural Area and explore the beauty of the Hill Country at a relaxed birding pace. Meet at 9 AM at the bird blind, or join along the mile-long trail to the pond as participants discover birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and native plants along the way. The walk typically reaches the pond around noon and is open to visitors of all ages and experience levels—just bring your binoculars or ask about loaners at headquarters.
Participants are also invited to stay afterward for iNat/Seek activities at noon, where volunteers help guests learn how to use citizen science apps to document wildlife and contribute to the City Nature Challenge.
