Bandera City Park – 77 Acres of Riverside Fun

Located along the scenic Medina River in downtown Bandera, this 77-acre park is the perfect spot for a day outdoors. Enjoy picnic areas with BBQ pits, fishing, and river swimming.

Day Use Only – The park closes 30 minutes before sunset.


Admission & Hours

Weekdays (Mon–Fri): Free admission unless it is a holiday.

Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays:

  • General Admission (Adults & Children 12+): $10.00
  • Bandera County Residents & Children (6–11): $5.00
  • Free Admission: Active military, veterans, first responders, seniors (65+), BISD students, and children under 6

Proof of ID is required for all discounted rates.


Season Park Passes

  • City residents with a utility account may receive two free park passes by visiting City Hall (proof of residency must be picked up in advance — not accepted at the gate).
  • Passes cover a carload of up to 5 people; each additional person is charged the regular admission fee.
  • Valid April – September.
  • Non-utility account holders: Seasonal park passes are available for $100.00.
