Bandera Natural History Museum

Location(s):
Category(s):

The museum has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and we have hand sanitizer distributed around the museum and at the educational play stations. We will have masks and gloves available if you choose to wear them. At the play stations, we will be asking children to pretend they are paleontologists and wear gloves. We will have brushes available for them to clean off the bones before putting them in their correct place. We have tried making our social distancing requests fun and one that everyone will observe.

We look forward to seeing you soon. If you have any questions, call at 830-328-5090.

Replicas of Dinosaurs, Ice Age animals, and educational play stations are located on the eight acre grounds. Inside there are over 100 full-body animal mounts positioned in hand-painted dioramas portraying their natural habitats. An international collection of art pieces are displayed in the museum.
