The plaza pays tribute to the beginnings of the Great Western Trail cattle drives and the cowboys who have helped make Bandera the “Cowboy Capital of the World”. It features public restrooms, water fountains and historical markers. It is the former site of the second Bantex Movie Theater, which burned down.
