Secluded Western Ranch House

If you’re looking for a stay that’s close to Bandera yet surrounded by country charm, this authentic 1940s Texas western home offers the best of both worlds. Located less than a mile from Main Street Bandera, this peaceful retreat sits on 4 scenic acres, feeling secluded but not isolated.

Built in 1947–48 by the owner’s grandfather and father as a family vacation lodge, this home is rich with character while offering modern comforts throughout. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and perfect for slowing down and enjoying Hill Country life—complete with frequent bird and deer sightings.

The home comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests with a king bed in the primary bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a fold-out sofa bed in the living room. The spacious living area features a rock wood-burning fireplace, hardwood floors, pine walls, and vaulted ceilings that showcase its original craftsmanship.

The breezeway dining area offers beautiful views of the wooded property, and the fully equipped kitchen includes all major appliances (note: no dishwasher). Outside, enjoy the large front porch, grill out, or relax under the Texas sky.
