Medina River Cleanup Returns to Bandera on Saturday, Aug. 22
After the floods of mid-July, the springs have begun to flow again and the Medina River Cleanup is scheduled to take place after a seven-year hiatus due to the drought. Paddlers from across the state will join local residents gather at the Bandera City Park near the dam on August 22.
Registration for paddlers is 9-10 am at the 11th Street/Maple entrance to the city park. Paddlers should contact one of the heads of the section they choose to paddle to arrange for and shuttle.

Those working banks and crossings will register beginning at 10:00 am and receive assignments to clean up at the various crossings and by land.
All participants will meet at 5-7 pm after the cleanup at Bandera City Park near the dam for a barbecue with river music by Lee and Karen Haile.
