The Bandera County Jr. Livestock Show provides 4-H and FFA youth opportunities to further their agricultural, leadership, and higher education goals.

The Bandera County Jr. Livestock Show will be held at Mansfield Park Showbarn on January 8-10, 2026.

The birth of the Bandera County Jr. Livestock show took place in 1936 when the Medina Future Farmers of America (FFA) hosted the first Stock Show in the county. The purpose of the show was to select the best animals for participation in the San Antonio Southwest Texas Boys Fat Stock Show.

In 1937, County Agent Howard Schlemmer started a county 4-H organization and used that foundation to jump start the junior show. The show alternated its location each year, before moving to its permanent home at Mansfield Park in Bandera.

In support of this event the Bandera Chamber of Commerce will host a taco sale on January 8, 2026. The taco sale will take place in front of the Bandera County Courthouse and starts at 7AM. Can't make it to the sale? They will deliver! Call (830) 796-3280 or (830) 688-0906 to place your order.
