This Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 at 7 p.m., Hot Shakespeare comes to the Bandera Brewery beer garden.

So, what exactly is it?

Actors perform scenes from Shakespeare’s greatest plays — but every time the bell rings, they have to stop, take a bite of ridiculously spicy hot chicken, and jump right back into the scene.

Expect Shakespeare, spice, laughter, watery eyes and actors trying to keep their composure as the heat builds.

Whether you love Shakespeare or just want to watch talented actors suffer for their art, this is one show you won’t want to miss!
